This may be silly but I am having trouble matching the diamonds when they have been put into groups for joining the star wreath for the Christmas quilt. I cannot get the pieces to fit together. Can anyone help please?
Laura replied: 18 Apr 22 at 21:25
Hi Ceels ...trying to imagine what stage you are at. I am guessing that you have completed the six groups of diamonds so that you are ready to sew them together. Do the groups all look the same shape and measure the same when you compare them. If they are not the same you may have to correct this by checking your seam allowance or diamond size etc. If they do look/measure the same then they should fit together. Keep comparing them to the diagrams in the instructions and arrange them to make the star space in the centre as it is important that you get them in the right order and colours to make the wreath shape. Once you are happy with the shape take two of the groups and put them right sides together and oversew the sides of the diamonds needed to construct the shape required. Keep checking against the shape to keep the star in the middle of the groups and continue sewing the groups together one by one to construct the wreath. Hope this helps to get your wreath complete.

Hello everyone I?m a bit confused on step 6&7 of the reverse appliqu? tea cosy. It says fold in half the 3inch strips which makes them 1.5? but in the picture Debbie?s strips look much thiner that 1.5? so have I miss understood or do I need to fold edges to the center and then fold in half?
Megan replied: 18 Apr 22 at 20:46
Thanks Debbie

Help please I a very confused. I am new to dressmaking and am having trouble with the pdf pattern for the batwing top. When it says to trim the left edge and bottom of each sheet from row b to d up to the edge of the pattern does this mean I don't trim any off row a. I am very confused and this is before I start to piece it together. ????
Debbie replied: 18 Apr 22 at 09:21
You could just overlap the pieces without trimming, as long the the patterns and the little square boxes match up...
