Hi, I'm struggling to sew tree no. 3 in this month's BOM. It's my first time doing FPP and have managed to complete tree 1 and 2 after a few attempts but I just can't work out how to start off no. 3. Any advice/tips on how to go about it would be appreciated. I'm sure it's straighforward but at the momen I just can't figure it out. Thanks. Jennifer

If I'm making a bag with jersey outer do I have to use a jersey lining or will it be OK with a cotton lining? Also will I have to change needle all the time or can I use a jersey for all of it?
Laura replied: 7 Apr 22 at 08:57
I think I would use an interlining on the jersey to make sure the bag held its shape. You can use a Universal needle if you use something like Decovil Light interlining.

I'm stuck at BOTM Turkey trot, specifically step 3 (I've attached a screen shot). Do you join the feathers one by one like a patchwork quilt, or am I missing something? Thanks!
Amanda replied: 15 Apr 22 at 19:05
Thank you, Laura! I managed to find a YouTube tutorial of the Dresden technique as well.

I hope someone can help. My friend has an adult son with special needs. He loves cuddling toys but bites into them and swallows the inside. Other than chopped up fabric stuffing can anyone suggest what ese could be used? Thanks. Mary.

Hi. Hoping someone can help me. My hubby?s new swimming shorts came apart after one wear (on holiday a couple of years ago) they are 100% polyester. Please see the photos. I don?t know where to start, what stitch to use, what length, what thread? Am I overthink it? Thank you
Jilly - (FB Wispa Labrador) replied: 3 Apr 22 at 13:32
Thank you Julie. I will stitch them all again. Any specific thread, needle or stitch length? Annoyingly these were worn just the 1 time x

Can someone help please? I have fabric in the basket to buy. But I can?t see the code for 20% off this weekend. Someone mentioned it was under blog but I can?t see it. Alcohol do you have to apply to shop online, or is it automatic as I?m a member on here. Many Thanks ????
Laura replied: 3 Apr 22 at 10:19
This seems to confuse everyone...if you go into the ?MORE? heading on this site and choose BLOG. About 2 headings down on the blog it gives a section on members discount for Debbie?s sewing website and the code is stated in this section. You need to enter this code in on the checkout page and apply and you will see the discount shown against your final value of order. Hope this helps.
