I?ve used Comic board off Amazon. I do have loads as I also use it to wrap my fabrics round. X

I am thinking i might give this years Christmas theme block of the month a try. Are most people when doing the applique just sewing around the pieces not doing a close satin stitich. Do you sew really close so as not to get a raw edge?Or is it because you use adhesive paper to bond it first that stops it freying.
Jane replied: 28 Mar 22 at 14:44
I used Bondaweb too then stitched close to the edge.

Has anyone on here made the Easter bags & stuffed from the panel? Is it just cut along dotted lines & sew together?
Laura replied: 25 Mar 22 at 12:54
I have made them ..there are instructions printed on the panel for the bags and stuffies which are easy to follow. I did add interfacing to the stuffies to make them a bit firmer and I lined the bags with my own material as per Debbies demonstrations on how to line tote bags to make them a bit more special and interchangeable. At heir simplest they are cut out and sew!!

What type of interface is needed for the bells on the star wreath?
Jane replied: 28 Mar 22 at 14:49
I just used woven interfacing but made sure that the adhesive was on the inside when I turned it.

Hi everyone I have a question hopefully someone can help me with. I have made a few fabric square containers. But I?m never really happy with the corners. Debbie makes it look so easy ????. Do you sew right up to the seam line as you manoeuvre the fabric round the corners? Sue.
Denise replied: 24 Mar 22 at 21:48
What works for me, but not sure its the right way. Before sewing I mark 1/4 inch from each corner I am sewing and start and end at these marks. By the time all sides are sew they are all joined with no gap. Hope this helps. Good luck

I can't seem to be able to share pictures. Does anyone know the steps to share our makes pxtrs with the club?
Laura replied: 19 Mar 22 at 12:48
There is the option to share pictures of your makes on the individual project pages. There isn?t a central photo library on the site as far as I am aware. The FAQ page tells you other ways of sharing pictures on social media.

Good Morning all, I joined the club Yesterday. I am new (ish) to sewing (about a year in) and I have not yet made quilts. I have 3 children so intend to make then each a quilt - I was planning to do 2019, 2020 and 2021's quilts from this club. Obviously I realise that I am late to the party so the fabrics will no dount all by sold by now! Can anyone advise what I need to buy fabric wise? I almost need a revised shopping list for each quilt? Thanks in advance! x
HYSC replied: 17 Mar 22 at 09:47
Welcome to the Club! Each of the blocks of the month has a fabric list, so I will point you towards the posts, if you scroll down there should be a complete list of all the fabrics and materials that you need ? along with pictures so you can match them (or change them accordingly!) 2019 https://www.halfyardsewingclub.com/projects/welcome-to-my-block-of-the-month-quilt 2020 https://www.halfyardsewingclub.com/projects/welcome-to-my-block-of-the-month-quilt-2020 2021 https://www.halfyardsewingclub.com/projects/welcome-to-my-block-of-the-month-quilt-2021 I hope that helps!
