Is there somewhere on this site where we can upload pictures of our finished projects please
barb replied: 26 Mar 24 at 04:14
Yes. Go to the instructions for the project you wish to upload. Scroll down. Look to the right and you will see where you can add your photo of that project.

@Laura I finally got my sling bag done. The base fought me tremendously. I had to unpick the entire thing about 4 times and redo it BUT I persevered. I was not going to let that final step prevent me from completing my bag and rob me of my joy of success. Mine is the black background with variegated pink flowers and off white flowers with green stems. It is the one with the burgundy bear in the background on the top zippers view. Thank you for your awesome support!!! Blessings. P.S. How did your craft show go?
Caro replied: 23 Mar 24 at 17:47
Thank you very much Laura. I did take my time with each aspect of it like you suggested. I am wishing you lots of sales at your fair. I would be honoured to be of any assistance to you whatsoever with your sling bag. Thank you. My friend is in ICU and is critical right now after having major abdominal surgery. We did a blood donation drive for her yesterday and are praying her through. Please help us in praying for God's miraculous healing for her in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!!!

Hi, Can someone suggest what would be the best interfacing to use to make a velvet bag? I was hoping to make the bag Debbie made from viscose which is quite structured because she used Decovil light, but had planned on using the William Morris velvet so not sure if the Decovil would be the correct choice. Thanks
Lydia replied: 20 Mar 24 at 16:58
Thank you Laura I will give it a try. As the velvet isn't really stretchy, I will try a small piece first to see what it feels like.

Hello. In the introduction to the seaside quilt it mentions to cut out fab 10 for blocks 3, 8 and 12. I have just finished block 3 the sun and realised I didn?t use the bits I cut out at the start!? Have I missed something or are these for making up at the end? Many thanks Tina x
Tina J replied: 18 Mar 24 at 08:39
Thank you so much Laura. This is my first quilt so unsure of the process, so great to know I?m on course! You have reassured me. Many thanks Tina

How do you go into facebook as a member of half yard. It seems to treat you as if you are not. Thank you
Debbie replied: 26 Mar 24 at 08:04
That's the plan Barb! Not everyone likes to use Facebook so if we had a closed group many members would be left out, so FB is just a bit of a bonus.

where are the wonky street cushions, i want to make the spring one.
Laura replied: 14 Mar 24 at 14:11
The Wonky Cushions projects were removed last year as they were more than 2 years old. There are templates for wonky houses and extras on the draught excluder and sewing machine cover projects that you could adapt to fit on an envelope backed cushion pattern. Hope this helps x

SLING BAG: @ Miss Debbie/Laura I noticed that the bias strip is sewn onto the straight zip gusset. Does that mean I DO NOT have to cut the fabric on the bias to make the binding? I would prefer to cut it straight as it is easier to make from scratch but if it has to be cut on the bias I will. However, if it can work just as well cut straight please let me know. Thank you very much. See I am thinking it has to go around the curve of the bag eventually so it might need to be bias cut:-(. HELP!!!
Caro replied: 14 Mar 24 at 17:50
Awww you should post some of your beautiful work on Facebook so we can se them. Thank you. I am almost there. I am making the bias binding next will and continue from there. I have been otherwise occupied lately as my seamstress and friend is very ill in the hospital. Appreciate your prayer for healing please. All the best in your fair.

Iam starting the sun Dresden plate and the instructions says Two 2x4 squares but that?s not a square it?s a rectangle??when I look at the pictures with the joined Dresden they look like triangles am I reading this wrong ??
Sue replied: 15 Mar 24 at 13:59
I cut my 4x4 squares slightly bigger which made it easier to cut completed block to correct size.
