Hello, I have cut out the squares for the "sea snails" part of block of the month but I am not sure what to do next so does Debbie show us how to cut the triangles accurately then sew the first part. I am new to all this.

For some general info have a look at the 'Tips and Techniques' section - 'Quilting'. Debbie has videos there covering some of the basics. Good luck.

Hi all, I love that we can ask one another questions! :). Can anyone help with this question please? I would like to make my own carry-on bag to travel by easyJet. has Debbie ever done one, or something of suitable dimensions? I have had a look but am famously an idiot when it comes to finding my way around tech. Thanks in advance, Judi
Vicki F replied: 11 Jan 24 at 00:12
Hi Judi. Welcome! The project for July 2022 was an overnight bag, though you would need to check the dimensions. There was also a weekend bag project which might be coming back! I often take my weekend bag as hand luggage when I travel, so it has been really useful. To have a look at the bag projects, click on ?projects? and search ?bags? and have a scroll through.

I have finally been able to start my winter wreath! Am so pleased with my first toadstool
Sandra replied: 11 Jan 24 at 11:58
That looks amazing. Well done. I have not started it yet but I am going to cut out the pieces and take hem on holiday and hand sew them and stuff them when I get home. I have several wreaths to do so it will keep me busy xxx

I have somehow lost the page in My Sew Maddie book that has the actual doll pattern on it. I don't know if it didn't arrive complete, or if I pulled all the patterns out and didn't put all of them back. Can you download it here on this website?
HYSC replied: 10 Jan 24 at 08:56
Hi - spare templates are also available on the Bookmarked Hub https://www.bookmarkedhub.com/books/sewing-patchwork-quilting/sew-maddie-9781782219910 You'll need to register - but it is free, and there are book extras and projects on there too that might be of interest!

Hi, I am trying to print the pattern for the Quilt Block Keeper and Block 1 of block of the month but the instructions are blacked out. I am logged in and have downloaded and printed another pattern which I have had no problem with. Any ideas? Thanks

I?ve never really quilted and am easily put off if things don?t go to plan but I love this year?s quilt. Could anyone advise the level of difficulty of this project please? It is also quite expensive if I give up. Not that I don?t already have lots of expensive projects lying unfinished ????
barb replied: 6 Jan 24 at 14:34
I wouldn't plunge in with expensive fabric on something you have never done before. There will be varying degrees of difficulty over the year and in my case the chances of everything going to plan have already been ruled out before even starting! I would try some of the blocks and techniques first using scraps of fabric, an old duvet cover, or charity shop buys. Look over some of previous block of the months for examples of the techniques. Good luck.

I have a SUPER IMPORTANT question please. For the BUM BAG 2019, exactly how wide is the 1" bias binding all together. How wide does the entire fabric need to be? Which of the ready made bias listed as 1/2" bias or 1"bias tape is correct for this bag?. We don't have bias binding here so how wide should I cut the fabric to get what Miss Debbie termed 1" bias for the bum bag please? If I were to order on line which should I get, listed as 1/2" or 1" bias binding? H E L P!!!!
