Just read the required fabric for Sept. block and would like to confirm the 3rd piece of fabric are not 27" but just over 2 .5" ? Janis
Bev replied: 9 Sep 23 at 13:37
@HYSC on 9th September the third item on the bullet list is still says 2?in (6.75cm) squares. 6.75cm converts to 2.657 inches. This is a really challenging block for beginners and I would be so grateful if someone says what the measurement should be in inches? There have been quite a few questions on this, I have trawled through back to 1st September and the instructions still haven't been rectified.

Laura....Eureka I found it!
Laura replied: 30 Aug 23 at 18:55
Well done :) ?there is usually a template icon on each of the projects if a pattern is required. Also not sure if you realise but you don?t need to use a new question box each time..if you open your original post you can post extra replies and comments on the same original question to keep all in one place. Apologies if you had already realised that :)

In the QAYG month May Electric fan. Where do I find the template for the curved pieces?
Laura replied: 30 Aug 23 at 17:37
There is a template heading at the top of the project page, open that tab and you will see the shapes on a separate printable sheet.

Hi all,I?m making the overnight bag.I?m going to use faux leather for the side panels.Should I use stabiliser on them? The rest of the bag will fabric and will be stabilised .
Laura replied: 30 Aug 23 at 12:44
I would use a stabiliser on the side panels so that all the exterior pieces are of equal strength. Debbie?s written instructions and photographs on the project are using faux leather and canvas and she uses interface on the faux leather in that bag so that might help.

I have ordered the ?fold up ? advent calendar from the Debbie Shore collection. Do I attach the wadding to the panel first and then fold up please. I am sorry to be so dense and have looked everywhere to find the answer. Thank you and I will not trouble you any further.

Hi, Shirley. Thank you. I am very new to sewing even though I am old. I wasn?t sure whether the pockets should be padded which you would get if interfacing the whole lot - or as you have done left the pockets as a single fabric. I think I am taking all of this far too seriously to be honest but your way saves on the wadding which must be good. Best wishes and thank you very much.

Just joined where will I find my notebook please
barb replied: 30 Aug 23 at 05:20
The idea is for you to keep notes against any of the projects. So go into a project and the notebook is there to use. Hope this helps.

Hello All. I have a very , very basic question . Here goes! What is the best way to sew a straight line ? Is it how the fabric is guided or some other magical technique that I don?t have. I am a beginner but will get better - Definitely, without a doubt , soon ! Thank you very much. Oh dear!

Thank you very much Gillian. I think that is a great idea. Best wishes

Hi for those of you doing the review panel for Debbie's books. Has anyone managed to leave a review on amazon? It won't let me I guess because I haven't purchased the book on amazon. Ive done bookmarked hub and goodreads already.
HYSC replied: 29 Aug 23 at 09:23
Hi Megan - until the book is available on Amazon it won't let you post - can you try again on or after the 2nd Sept? Best wishes Claire, HYSC
