Wonky Street House Door Stop | Debbie Shore Sewing Pattern
Easy |
Quick Links: What you'll need Project steps
Bring more of Debbie Shore's Wonky Street world to life with this door stop sewing pattern.
This Wonky Street doorstop project is easily personalized: match the colour of the front door to the one on your own home, make it look like your dream house or even create a home for fairies! I’ve added a round window to the pattern pieces as an additional option for you to choose if you wish, and you can easily add pretty touches like a few flowers with a little embroidery. I suggest that you sketch out any changes you’d like to make to the design before you begin so that you can be sure you’re happy with it, and to help you keep track of which pieces you need to cut out.
I’ve free-motion embroidered the appliqué in place but you could hand-sew it if you prefer. The weight inside can be a bag of sand, pellets, rice or even pebbles – anything to make it heavy.
Note: Use a ¼in (5mm) seam allowance throughout.
