i made this bag but straps look too long ....?? tomorrow i may cut middle of straps ...shorten and then add a patch of faux leather
Helen replied: 17 Apr 21 at 11:11
Hi Kim, Here is another idea for you if you are making any more bags, you could also put tabs on the bag and if you have to adjust the strap then you only have to unpick it from the strap. I meant to say this the last time Happy sewing Helen

I am prepping my materials etc to start making the Spring Wonky cushion.? I know I have to put an interface on the back of the front of the cushion, but I am not sure if I have to put an interfacing on the shapes, or if I just sew them straight onto the front of the cushion.? I am very excited about doing this?project - I have bought, and been practising with the free motion foot. I just love everything about The Half-Yard Club and everything Debbie does.? ?

I am presently working on a quilted comforter. The quilt topper is made up of twelve disappearing nine patches joined together with 3 inch sashing and will have a six inch border. The completed topper will be attached to a fleece throw and bound together with Jelly Roll to match the quilt fabric. Normally, I would tie-in the topper and fleece backing but for a different finish i want to attach some fabric 'buttons' at the junctions of the sashing; somethning soft and perhaps contaning a little wadding. Does anyone have any ideas plase? Thank you ?

How do I transfer Maddies face to the fabric?
Jayne replied: 19 Mar 21 at 16:40
I did old fashioned tracing. I used some baking parchment, traced the face, put it on the fabric, pencil side down and shaded over it. I then went over the pencil marking with a heat erasable pen. I am making my 5ty Maddie at the moment - I have also made one Robyn doll. Face has worked every time.
