I made this bag a while back and would like to make another, but I can’t find the tutorial. Help please. You join strips of fabric, then cut it and join again, but in what way I can’t remember. Thank you

Help, fellow sewers. My sewing skills have have been all at sea this week. Went utterly and totally wrong on the bag I was making myself and even after trying to rescue have put the magnetic clasps on the wrong side leaving marks/holes where fitted and the fabric frays. Will a bit of glue help do you think and if I find something to cover the spots marked.

Hi, how many meters of fabric do you need for the batwing dress for size 16
barb replied: 18 Feb 25 at 10:52
Materials 80in (203cm) length of 54in (137cm) wide jersey fabric for sizes 16–26 ¼in (5mm) wide elastic: for the length, use your waist measurement minus 3in (7.5cm) or simply wrap the elastic around your waist to see what feels comfortable and add approx.1in (2.5cm) for an overlap

Hi, I have a query regarding the fluted hem skirt. I have noticed on Debbies tutorial that it shows the fluted hem part is cut on the straight grain. However, on the printed pattern and the photo instructions, this shows it should be cut on the bias. Which is correct, does anyone know.
Ann replied: 22 Feb 25 at 19:58
Hi. Thanks for both replies. In the end and with the fabric I have available, I cut the flounce with the grain parallel to the fold line and it’s worked out. I’ve uploaded photo onto the makes if you want to take a look.

Hi Please can I ask how to add a border to an appliquéd quilt . I have wadding underneath and surplus wadding around my top. Do I cut my wadding off to my existing quilt or do I use the wadding when adding my border. I'm quite new to quilting and would welcome any help with my border problem. Thank you in advance. Tina

Hi. I remember seeing a demonstration on how to use the perfect points interfacing. I know how to use it but remember there were tips on how many different materials to use and how to mix with a plain colour. Seem to think six different fabrics were mentioned with the odd plain. However that makes seven. Do you have a link to this demo or have you any advice. Many thanks

Hi I don’t know if I’m missing something regarding the fluted skirt pattern. I have taken my measurements but how do I know which size to make? 12, 14 etc. Many thanks for your help, in advance.
