I was not up to date with my seaside quilt blocks and read on here that members were running out of the blue fabric in the kit to do the sea in Block 10 (Fish). I carefully cut this one out yesterday and have now completed the blocks with large amount of blue in them (the boats x2, the seaweed, the fish and the waves). I just had enough fabric for these but will have to use a different blue from my stash for the beach huts, lighthouse and bunting. I would suggest that Block 10 is cut along with the other sea blocks to ensure your colour is consistent if you have not already completed the blocks in order. I hope this helps.

Drop me an email at enquiries@debbieshoresewing.com if you're short on the blue, I'm having some fqs cut which should be enough...

Hi all. I’m doing the seaside block of the month quilt. Despite cutting accurately and regularly checking seam allowance quite a few of my blocks are coming up smaller than stated I’m just wondering how this is going to affect the assembly when the time comes. Any ideas or suggestions welcome Diane

Block of the month a day at the coast , I’ve just decided to do this quilt ! Am I too late ? It might take me a year from now so I’m worried the blocks will disappear off the website ( I am a member )
Laura replied: 1 Oct 24 at 12:59
The quilt patterns have always stayed on the site forever so don’t worry about the blocks taken down. Recently it was announced that no patterns will be taken off the site which is great news for members x

Hi All I am just catching up with the BOTM and have been cutting out the blocks in order. I'm suprised to find I don't have enough of Fabric 1 to complete Block 10. I have been very careful with usage throughout and bought the kit so not best pleased at having to buy more. Does anyone know of the name of the dark Blue used in kit please i think it would spoil the look if i were to add a different material - Thank you in advance x

I think that I ordered this from Debbie in November 2021 it was just called Metallic Christmas - Snowflakes Navy on my order. Just looked up on GOOGLE and it is a Craft Cotton fabric and still available at some online shops.

I pre-cut my fabrics before the live stream. I found the ironing process to fast during the stream and was grateful for the giveaways to ensure I could keep up. Mine has an autumnal colour theme and by pure chance some of the animals are visible. I enjoyed making it overall. I’d have preferred the ironing instructions beforehand so I could have taken more care for accuracy. Just my personal preference as it was my first live sew along. (Been a member for 13 months)
